I wanted to get in here and say that I most likely won't be posting much here on the boy's blog until after we've moved. I'm in frantic packing mode, and with the boy's being with me 24/7, my time on the computer will be less, as it's either them, or the packing, and as of now, it's just both at the same time! :)
So, until I actually have a long moment here, or we are moved and settled in, I will be taking a small break from blogging here!

We're Moving In!
We did it!
We were accepted, and will be moving into our NEW home by May 1st! It's a lease to buy option, and we are SO excited! Hopefully, this means we won't be moving again for a long time! Thank you to all of our friends and family that supported us, sent prayers, and sent along positive vibes and thoughts....I believe it all worked, along with my getting aquainted with manifesting our desire!
I will be a very busy bee now, packing up to start moving April 24th, to be moved in by May 1st.
The boy's are VERY excited, and can't wait to move in.
For a few pictures of the new house (which still doesn't have sod laid), you can see previous post on the subject. It's not the homestead we dream of, but that can come 5 years or more from now, and for now, we will be at least working toward some equity and security!
Woo Hoo!!!! :)

Change WILL Happen!
When you want change to happen, it WILL happen.

One view of the kitchen, I love the window over the sink!

The view of the kitchen from the dining room (at the sliding glass doors). Living room is through the entry at the left..you can see the front door back there.
Well, there is a few pictures. It's not finished, sod has to be laid still, and some detail work. We can't wait to move in! Even though we haven't heard yet, I know this is our home. :)
Well, the house on the highway, down the road from us didn't come through.....we were fine about that, as I knew there would be a good reason. Good reason came two days later, when Mike sent me a link to lease to buy homes in Kittitas, I called on them, went to view one, found OUR home, put in the Application, and now, today, we are waiting to find out if we get to move in May 1st! It's a beautiful brand NEW home, fenced in yard, three bedrooms, two car garage, very nice kitchen (I LOVE it!), and wouldn't you know, it's not even all the way finished yet! We can lease it for a year, or two, or more, until we are ready to buy it! We LOVE it, the boy's love it, and now, it's just the waiting again!
I'm packing none the less. I know we are moving in. :)
Here is a few pictures of the new home...
This is looking at the garage side, Canyon is in the picture...
Looking at the front of the house, River is in the picture.
Looking in, at the living room, from the front doorway. Through the entrance there, where Mike's parents, and Canyon are, is the kitchen and dining room.

Our first Signs Of Garden Life!
It was time to plant some seeds, just a few starts for our garden. I wanted to do it as frugally as I could this spring, as I usually buy many wonderful vege plants from our Farmers Market come May anyway. So, I got the idea of using our saved up egg cartons from my wonderful online friend Kate in NJ, and for the first time, used those for our starts! I spent $2.99 each on two bags of 25 peat pellets, well under 5 dollars on 5 packets of seeds (40% off at Freddy's), and so far, that was it, I hav spent around $11.00 on our first seedlings for the garden this Spring. I used the egg cartons, cut them to the size of the "tray" I was using. I used my broiler pan bottom tray, and I used a re-used aluminum disposeable casserole pan (that part isn't too natural, but IS frugal!)

Here is the peat pellets, ready for the water, in the bottom pan....I had the boy's put them in, oh such fun! For the beginnings, I DID buy a hybrib corn, and I think a hybrid pea....trying to get away from those, they weren't available to me at the time, so I settled with 5 seed packets. Hoping to buy some heirloom strawberries, and most everything else online soon!

In keeping with not spending money to grow our food, I used re-used corndog sticks for the lables!

The Gratuitous photo of Manny Von Popsicle stretching out while we are planting.....life's rough!
Almost done planting!

This is what it looked like after I closed the peat around the seedlings, and gave them all one little push...

Here is some sprouts on March 2nd, 2009......

AND......what our "garden" looks like on March 6th, 2009!
I am taking advice from my friend, Malisa, and during this time, when we just don't know how long we will be at this house now, I will keep these in containers, and I will surely take all with me to our new place!

Imagine the food we will be eating JUST from these beginning starts, all spring and summer! I have to transplant and spread out many starts from one peat pellet each here!
